Mindful Mail
Our Creative Prompt:
This week’s prompt is centered around the notion of “together apart” and the 6th stage of grief: Finding Meaning. We are experiencing collective grief, but are in isolation. Many of the rituals that we would usually be able to practice together in community are not available to us. As a way to be more connected, take a moment to create and write a letter to someone in your life. This could be a person you know well, someone you are missing, someone who needs support, or perhaps a stranger who you would like to thank.
STEP 1: Instead of buying a card or postcard, create your own! This could be a print, a collage, a drawing - whatever medium you would like to use to express yourself and your feelings.
STEP 2: Write a note to the person who you want to connect with right now. What do you want to tell them? How can you create a space for connection? Feel free to make it as simple or as detailed as you would like!
STEP 3: Place a stamp on the note and put it in the mail!
STEP 4: Thank a USPS worker - they are working extra hard for all of us!
